A 7-year-old girl has had recurrent headaches for 4 years. Before the headache, she experiences numbness and weakness in her right limbs, which improves after about 30 minutes. This is followed by throbbing headache in the right temporal and retro-orbital region, accompanied by photophobia, phonophobia, and sometimes nausea and vomiting. Symptoms typically resolve within a day, and the hemiplegia/numbness disappears tens of minutes after the headache ends. Episodes occur once every 1-2 months, with complete normality between attacks.
