A 22-year-old woman has experienced recurrent episodes of flashing lights in her vision for many years, lasting a few minutes before disappearing, followed by bilateral throbbing headache in the frontotemporal region accompanied by nausea and vomiting, lasting several hours before relief. Neurological examination is completely normal.
